POST 8: English Language Challenges
My mum is an English teacher, but it has been two or three years since she stopped doing that and now she sells clothes on social networks. For that reason, I've had a very close relationship with English since I was a little kid, listening to a lot of English music or just practicing in the afternoons after school with my mother talking about different life issues. When I was in my middle education, I left the practice of English and I radically changed English music for the urban music of South America. So, even though I have enough knowledge to understand the language, I had a hard time remembering and catching up with some English units in the first classes of the course. However, I really think that the course has had throughout the semester and the commitment that our teacher has made learning much easier and more practical. Also, blogs are a very important tool for practicing writing through entertaining topics that are close to our person. Without a doubt, I have to improve the use of verb tenses every time I write a text. Although I know the meaning and use of each of them, it is difficult for me to do it in practice. For me, the best way to improve this is to practice more and more every time until it sticks in my memory. These days, the reality is that I have very little relationship with the language, except that every day I listen to a few songs in English. I hope that as I advance in my career and have the possibility of travelling abroad, I can improve my English a lot to speak normally with people from all over the world.
